It is with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel Gerardo Pou Cueto, affectionately known to many as "Don Pou." Born on February 11, 1949, in the Dominican Republic, Daniel's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family. He passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, in Foley, Alabama.
Daniel was a man whose heart was as vast as his presence was warm. Known for his kind and welcoming demeanor, he touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know him. Above all else, he was a wonderful father whose priority was always his family—an ethos that defined every chapter of his life. Family was not merely a part of his life; it was the very essence of his being.
Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Daniel carried with him the values and spirit of his homeland wherever he went. His pride was not found in material achievements but in the simple, profound acts of kindness he extended daily. He was known and loved for always helping whoever needed without second thoughts, a quality that earned him deep respect in his community and among those fortunate to call him friend.
Daniel leaves behind a loving and cherished family who carry forward his legacy and spirit. He is survived by his daughters Milly, More, Wendy, Ivette, and Denisse, as well as his sons Daniel and Gerardo. Their lives have been profoundly enriched by his guidance, love, and unwavering support.
Though Daniel has departed from this world, the memory of his gentle soul and the warmth of his love remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy of kindness, devotion to family, and readiness to help those in need serves as a beacon of inspiration to all who were blessed to cross his path.
In honoring Daniel Gerardo Pou Cueto, we remember a life beautifully lived, a heart deeply loved, and a spirit that will continue to shine brightly in the lives of his family and friends. May he rest in peace, forever remembered as Don Pou, a man who truly embodied kindness and family above all.
