David Anthony Meador

David Anthony Meador, age 81, and a resident of Elberta, Alabama, passed away on May 26, 2024. 

 David was born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1942. He served in the United States Navy from 1960-1988.  While serving in the Philippines during the Vietnam War, he met his wife, Benedicta, and the two were married for 45 wonderful years. David was a big fan of Alabama football and little league baseball.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Benedicta “Bene” Meador; parents, Hugh and Doris Meador; and his fur baby, Rascal.

 David is survived by sons, David G. Meador of Elberta and Hugh A. (Makiko) Meador of Laguna Hills, California; daughters, Andrea (David Hickey) Meador of Elberta and Christine (Joshua Perry) Meador of Elberta; grandchildren, Ryane, Mechelle, Rachel, Jasmyn, and Tavi; and many other loving relatives and friends.

 A committal service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 10:30 am.
