Dawn Louis Collins

Mr. Dawn Louis Collins, a resident of Magnolia Springs, AL, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023, at the age of 80. He was an Army Veteran who served in Vietnam and then retired from NAS Pensacola as a production controller. He was raised in St. John's Parish and was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. He grew up fishing and shrimping with his father and knew all the best fishing spots. He was his own person and lived life to the fullest. Dawn was preceded in death by his brother, Jerome Collins and sisters, Juanita Dolihite and Yvonne Stump. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, JoAnn Frybarger Collins; siblings, Larry Collins and Allen (Denise) Collins, Cleo Wheaton, Evelyn Weeks, Phyllis Collins all of Magnolia Springs, and the Lucille (Danny) Doffee of Foley and also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was well-loved and will be deeply missed. A Rosary and Memorial Mass will be held on October 14 at 9:30 am at St. John's Catholic Church 10800 St Johns Ln Foley AL, 36535. The family requests that remembrances be made in the form of memorial donations to the Baldwin County Animal Shelter or St. John's Catholic Church.
