Deborah Diane Lowe, Born on July 31, 1954, from Chickasaw, Alabama and was a shining light in the lives of many until her passing on July 21, 2025. For 20 wonderful years, she dedicated herself to her work as a custodian at the Chickasaw First Baptist Church, where not only was she responsible for keeping the grounds spotless, but she also created an environment filled with warmth and love. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her will forever remember how she could light up any room with her infectious smile.
Deborah’s great personality and generous heart allowed her to forge deep connections with everyone around her. She had an unparalleled ability to spread love and kindness, often giving her last dollar to help someone in need. This spirit of generosity exemplified her dedication not just to her work, but to the community she cherished so dearly. She loved volunteering her time to assist the less fortunate, demonstrating the profound sense of compassion she carried within her.
Cherished by her church family, Deborah experienced a depth of love that mirrored the devotion she shared with them. It is said that she was loved tremendously, and that love was undoubtedly reciprocated by all those whose lives she touched. One of her favorite past times was getting up every Monday and Tuesday morning going to her quilting class at the church.
Deborah leaves behind her adoring children, Jason Brown and Crystal Brown, along with her beloved granddaughter, Hayley Genell Marler. She is also survived by her siblings: Joanne Moore, Patricia "Pat" Faye, Michael "Mlke" Jerkins, Richard "Ricky" Jerkins, and Donnie Ray Jerkins. These family ties were a source of immense pride and joy in her life.
Though her parents, Edward Ray “Pop” Jerkins and Barbara Celeste Cruzan, along with her brothers Wayne and Kenneth Jerkins, have passed on, their memories live on through the loving legacy she built. Deborah also leaves behind her ex-husband, Donald W. Brown, and her former spouse, Ronald D. Lowe.
As we remember Deborah D. Lowe, we celebrate a truly remarkable woman whose kind spirit and bountiful love enriched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
