Donald Henry Aspacher, a beloved figure and cherished family member, was born on October 2, 1931, in Genoa, Ohio. He passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama, surrounded by love and comfort.

Don’s journey through life was characterized by his unwavering kindness and gentle spirit. A devoted family man and a person of great humor, he lived his life to the fullest, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. His educational path began at Luckey High School in Luckey, Ohio, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors. He later earned his GED while attending classes at Bowling Green State University.

In his professional career, Don began in sales by selling West Bend Cookware door to door. His career took a significant turn in 1964 when he joined WFRO in Fremont, Ohio. In 1967, he became a sales account executive with WABJ in Adrian, Michigan. His dedication to the station led him to become the General Manager and a part owner until 1990. Notably, he was instrumental in putting WQTE on the air during his tenure at WABJ, showcasing his commitment to his work and community.

Don proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955, as part of the Armament-Electronics Maintenance Squadron. His service was honored with several medals, including the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.

Don is survived by his brother Kenneth Aspacher; his children Jeff (Paula) Aspacher, Gregg (David) Aspacher, Derek (Alejandro) Aspacher, and Lisa (Raymond) Pearson; his step-children Susan (Mark) Kern, Paul (Robin) Schwartz, Eric (Cindy) Schwartz, and his step-son-in-law Mike Nash. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Valerie (Jared) Berry, Garrett (Marie) Aspacher, Caleb Pearson, Grace Pearson, and Noah Pearson, as well as his great-grandchild Alice Berry, and 11 shared step grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren and 6 great, great, great grandchildren.  Don embraced the family values that brought them all together, sharing joyous moments and cherished memories that will endure.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Beverley Aspacher, along with his parents, William and Pearl Aspacher, and several siblings: Leona Elser, Harold Aspacher, Dale Aspacher, Jean Follman, Beatrice Mohrman, Gloria Aspacher, and Shirley Deramalier, as well as his step-daughter Ann Nash.

Those who knew Don will remember him not only for his contributions in sales and radio broadcasting but also for his warm demeanor and loving spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and laughter that will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
