Donald, “Don”, was born October 13, 1958 to Ruby and Donald Chesscher I. After a nomadic childhood, Don settled in Robertsdale, AL as a young teen with Aaron Childress and his family. He attended and graduated Robertsdale High School class of ‘76 and went on to earn an Associate degree at Bishop State Community College. They married November 3, 1978 in Pensacola, FL, moved to Elberta, AL, and raised three children, Donnie III, Kristy, and Danielle. Don was a loving husband of 44 years and a loving father, but really found his calling when he became a PaPa to all of his grandchildren. He was an active member of Berean Baptist Church for 34 years where he was a deacon and taught Sunday School. In his spare time, Don enjoyed playing with his grandkids, working in the yard, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his sister Tammy Chesscher, brother Denny Chesscher, mother, Ruby Wach, father, Donald Chesscher I, and stepfather Terry Wach.
