Donald Leon Milburn passed away on June 19th, 2026, after leading a life of devotion and love. Donald was born to Lendell and Norma Milburn.

In his early life, Donald went to Marion High school and enjoyed playing in the band as a trumpet and singing in the choir. He attended classes at John A. Logan College. In the military, he was proud to be part of the in-flight refueling team and he was honored to perform military honors to those who had passed away.

His devotion to helping fellow military personnel extended into his career, where he helped veterans submit paperwork to get their benefits at the VA Hospital in Marion, Illinois. After he retired, he continued to help veterans by taking them to doctors appointments, get their prescriptions, and going grocery shopping.

He was a mine inspector in Illinois and Indiana, he was a safety coordinator in Alabama and Mississippi, and his last job was a security guard in Orange Beach, Alabama at the Wharf.

People describe Donald as a good worker, a fun person to be around, mischievous, and loving person. The one achievement that he was most proud of was his two son's and their great success, and his four grandchildren.
