Donnis George Kichler (Joker)
July 17, 1951 – September 15, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donnis George Kichler, simply known as "Joker," on September 15, 2025, at the age of 74. A native of Baldwin County and local of Elberta, Donnis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a dedicated business owner. His warmth, humor, and love touched the lives of all who knew him.
Donnis was preceded in death by his father, Walter P. Kichler, and his mother, Elise Schwartz Kichler. He is survived by his beloved wife, Malinda Alms Kichler; his sons, Matthew Kichler (Trina) and Nathan Kichler (Shellie); his cherished grandchildren, Blakely, McCoy, and Baylor Kichler, Triston Lechner and Alexis Eubanks; well as two siblings, Walter C. Kichler and Marylin Long. Donnis' family was the center of his world, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend.
For 35 years, Donnis was the proud owner of Parkway Equipment. His dedication, strong work ethic, and infectious sense of humor made a lasting impact on both his customers and employees. Donnis was more than just a businessman—he was a mentor, a friend, and someone who could light up any room with his presence. His big heart and quick wit will always be remembered fondly.
Donnis was passionate about the outdoors, enjoying fishing, hunting, gardening, and anything that allowed him to connect with nature. His love for life was evident in everything he did, and the memories he leaves behind will continue to bring smiles to those who knew him best.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Elberta on Thursday, September 18th. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, funeral will start at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St.Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Donnis’ spirit, humor, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those he loved. His memory will be cherished forever.
