Edgar Lafayette Shealy, III

Edgar Lafayette Shealy III, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, husband of Patricia Perkins Shealy and father of Brian Mathew Shealy and Erin Kathleen Shealy, passed from this life and began his heavenly life on November 8th, 2024, at the age of 71. Ed was born on January 1, 1953, in Florence, South Carolina to Edgar Lafayette Shealy Jr. and Janie Mae Hill Shealy. He was raised in Columbia, South Carolina, and was a graduate of Columbia High School and the University of South Carolina. Ed spent his life honoring his passions. He was a musician, a sailor, an artist, a writer, a golfer, a cyclist, and an outdoorsman. 

Along with his wife of 43 years, Patti of Fairhope, Alabama, he is also survived by his daughter Erin Kate of Greenville, South Carolina, and his sister Essie Shealy of Lexington, South Carolina.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather Keith Bristow, and his brother, Ben Shealy. 

There will be a memorial service held on November 14, 2024, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home located on 19698 Greeno Rd., Fairhope A.L. 36532. Visitation will start at 10:00 followed by a service at 11:00.
