Edwin Nelson

Edwin Allen Nelson, age 70, a resident of Theodore, Alabama, passed away on March 1, 2024.

Edwin was known as “Barefoot” and was an avid mullet fisherman. He worked in construction in Crystal Beach Texas for many years before retiring to Alabama where he lived the last ten years of his life. 

Preceding him in death are his parents, Robert “Tunk” and Annie Nelson; and his sister, Jeanette McKlary.

Edwin is survived by his brother, James Nelson of Gulf Shores, AL; sisters, Barbara Ann Nelson (John) Bender of Elberta, AL, and Joann Henderson of Foley, AL; and other loving relatives and friends.

 A private family service will be held at a later date.
