Ella Carolyn Jerkins

Carolyn Jerkins, a native of Stapleton, Alabama, and a resident of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the age of 81. Carolyn was a graduate of Baldwin County High school. She went back to school after her children were grown and attended Bishop State, where she became a licensed physical therapist assistant. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Carolyn is preceded by her husband, Donald Jerkins, her son, Donald Chadwick Jerkins, her father, John Joe White, her mother Alvin Irene Richerson White, and her brother James Edward White.

Ella was survived by a daughter, Sheri Darlene (Leslie Cunnigham) Guy of Pensacola; five grandchildren, Braxton (Abby) Guy, Broox (Ketsia) Guy, Collin (Rosemary) Jerkins, Sydnee Jerkins, Gavin Jerkins; great grandchildren, Lucas and Virginia Jerkins, Hazel Crenshaw, Evelyn Guy, Genevieve Guy; two brothers, Nolan White and Alan (Barbara) White.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm.

Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Stapleton, Alabama, following service.
