Evelyn Cain Norris, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Silverhill, Alabama. Born on May 5, 1945, Evelyn led a life filled with love, warmth, and a spirit that touched everyone around her.
Evelyn will be remembered as a devoted wife to Thomas C. Norris, Sr. Together, they built a life filled with cherished memories, enduring love, and unwavering support for one another. Their bond served as a cornerstone for their family, illustrating the true essence of partnership and companionship.
As a mother, she nurtured and guided her children, Thomas C. Norris, Jr., Tamara L. Pactor and Timothy D. Norris. She instilled values of compassion, integrity, and strength. Her love extended to the family. Including spouses, Felicia and Doug, who she welcomed into her heart as one of her own. Beloved grandchildren and their spouses, Charissa and Sammy Galaforo, Jacquelyn Norris and David, Rhian Pactor and Chris, Jonathan and Erica Norris, and great-grandchildren Hayden Peavy, Bentlee Galaforo, Jaiyana Hicks, Keran Christensen, Jermani Hicks and Nova Christensen. Evelyn’s home was always filled with laughter and warmth, a reflection of her loving nature.
Evelyn also leaves to cherish her memory, three of her eight siblings, Rudolph, Talmadge and Juanita.
Her legacy continues through her grand, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who brought her immense joy and pride. Evelyn, in the simple moments spent with them, whether it was reading and sharing stories or watching them grow and flourish. Each of their accomplishments was a treasured piece of her heart.
Evelyn's spirit is also woven with the memories of her late son, Timothy D. Norris, and her daughter, Tamara Leigh Pactor, who preceded her in death. The love she held for them remains an everlasting testament to her strength as a mother, and she will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation will be held on December 20, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home - Foley Chapel, located at 2551 South McKenzie Street, Foley, Alabama. Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 2:00 PM, allowing family and friends an opportunity to gather in remembrance of Evelyn and celebrate the beautiful life she led.
Evelyn Cain Norris leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support. Her laughter, compassion, and wise counsel will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Although she has departed from this world, her spirit will forever shine in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
