Frank Davis Barr

BARR DAPHNE, AL Frank Davis Barr, age 90, a resident of Daphne, AL passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023 Frank was born September 24, 1932 in Selma, Al. He was a veteran in the United States Army serving in the Korean War, Unit 865 AAA AW BN SP. He married the love of his life Ruthie Nall in 1961. He was a member of the Shriners Association. Frank started his career with Western Electric – AT&T in 1953. Becoming a supervisor in 1965 and retiring in 1994 with 41 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank M. Barr and Annie L. Barr He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruthie Nall Barr of Daphne, AL; children, Linda (Justin) Sims, Robbie (Randy) Rockwell, Glenn (Kathy) Barr, Steve (Jeannie) Barr; grandchildren, Sable (Will) Chason, Dillon (Haleigh) Sims, Barkley (Lauren) Sims, Casey (Taylor) Bradley, Courtney (Jordan) Cauley, Carrighan Rockwell, Bennett (Kelsey) Barr, Katherine (Ben) Mayfield, Robert Morgan (Hannah) Barr, Murphy Barr, Clay Barr, Zach Kittrell, Samantha Barr, 11 great grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, AL, Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 11:00am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Jubilee Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 Pallbearers will be Dillon Sims, Barkley Sims, Bennett Barr, Robert Barr, Clay Barr and Zachary Kittrell with Grant Barber officiating the service.
