Frederick "Fred" A. Newman

Frederick Austin Newman was born in Salem, MA on March 18, 1943, at 6:10 p.m. and passed from this life (in his 83rd year) on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

Both Anne N. Newman, his mother, and his father, Calvin A. Newman preceded him in death as well as a granddaughter, Darcy Rose Newman.

He is survived by the love of his life of 58 years, Shirley J; son, Kevin A. (Terra); daughter, Julie A. (Michael); daughter, Sara J. (Chris) as well as nine grandchildren: James Blum; Jack, Lila, Cade, and Tyler Newman; Emerson, Peyton, and Shepard Davis; and Boone Wade.

Fred received a BS from the University of Maine and an MBA from the University of Rochester. His career of over 45 years in manufacturing operations began as an industrial engineer and ended managing seven plants in three States and Mexico.

Fred has a passion for his family and rarely missed an event that his children participated in. He hated yard work, but he loved walking on the grass of a beautiful golf course. He would never let golf interfere with family life.

He promises to watch over family and friends from his new Sky Box Seat.
