George Allen Childree, Jr.

CHILDREE FOLEY George Allen Childree, Jr. age 81, a resident of Foley, AL passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Foley, AL. George was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from the Army National Guard. He was a former Corrections Officer for the State of Alabama, a member of First Baptist Church of Gulf Shores, and he was a published author of Christian stories and devotions. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Fammie Childree, one Great Grandson John Martin Holcomb, and a sister, Betty Hampton. He is survived by his wife Dolores M. Childree of Foley, five children; Dawn (David) Malcom of Carriere, MS, Kathleen (Rick) Messer of Foley, AL, Chris Holcomb of Chattanooga, TN, Kenneth (Jennifer) Holcomb of Vicksburg, MS, Caroline (Scott) Guy of Byhalia, MS, grandchildren; Slade Malcom, Grant Malcom, Hannah (Zach) Arthur, Caleb (Allyson) Messer, Morgan (Austin) McCool, Amber Holcomb, Isaac Holcomb, Mallory Holcomb, Katie Holcomb, Kade Holcomb, Eli Holcomb, Carrie Guy, Joseph Guy, Amber Guy, five great grandchildren; Elizabeth, Elianna, Lydia, Veda, and Sophia, many other relatives and friends. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
