With profound love and deep remembrance, we celebrate the life of Geraldine “Deanie” Scott, who passed away at home, peacefully, on July 19, 2026, at the age of 74. Deanie’s life was a radiant testament to steadfast devotion, warmth, and joyful spirit—a life deeply cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Deanie’s story is one shaped by family bonds and vibrant memories. Throughout her years, she was ever the heartbeat of her family, a gathering place for laughter, compassion, and a singular sense of togetherness. To know Deanie was to feel instantly at home. She was very loving, extremely organized, and wholly devoted to those around her. Her ever-present good humor could brighten any room, with an occasional goofball nature that kept both family and friends smiling.

After dedicating twenty years as a receptionist at an investment banking firm, Deanie retired, leaving not just the commendation of her colleagues, but also a legacy for helping others find kindness in the ordinary rhythms of work and life. She approached her vocation, as she did all milestones, with diligence and grace.

Family remained the cornerstone of Deanie’s world. The highlight of her days were the treasured family get-togethers, where kin would gather, drawn close by the aroma of shared meals, the music of laughter, and Deanie’s delight in simply being surrounded by those she loved. These moments were woven with stories, love and, on occasion, the impromptu joy she brought when a favorite song played—she would pause, break into a spontaneous jig, and in that small dance, she would make all those around her not only laugh but join in.

In her loved ones’ eyes, Deanie was, and always will be, the most extraordinary wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her love endures in the family she shaped and the memories she leaves behind.

Deanie is survived by her beloved daughter, Regina Scott, and her devoted son, William David Scott. She is lovingly remembered by her fiancé Donald Leonard Peavy and by her cherished granddaughters, Deena Scott and Anna Claire Scott. Each carries a part of her gentle guidance and boundless affection into the future.

She is now reunited with her late husband, Billy Scott, as well as her mother Bessie Murray; father Maborn Earl McClure; step-father Robert Murray; her sister Faye Gordon; and brother Buddy McClure—each now held in her eternal embrace.

Deanie’s legacy is lovingly etched in the hearts of all who knew her, in every memory shared, and every joke told at a family table. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of devotion, laughter, and unwavering care. In these moments—in each dance, each hug, each gathering—we honor her, grateful for the gift of her presence, and comforted that she rests now in peace.
