Spanish Fort

Giles Burton Tomlin, age 87 of Spanish Fort, Alabama passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Giles was a member of Bible Baptist Church as well as The Masonic Lodge in Spanish Fort for many years.

Giles retired from International Paper Company where he was a loyal and dedicated employee for 44 years. After his retirement, he got to live out his passion for fishing while working part time at Scott’s Fish Camp on the Causeway.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Rebecca M. Tomlin of Spanish Fort, Al as well as Grandchildren Tiffany B. Smith (Daniel), Korey Brown (Dana), Jamie T. Shobe, and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Giles was preceded in death by his son James Kennith Tomlin and daughter Kathy T. Goodwin, as well as his Parents.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 29, 2024, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, AL. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM at Jubilee Memorial Gardens in Daphne, AL with Brother Richard Ullo officiating.

The family would like to send a special thank you to all the staff at The Retreat Hospice by Saad in Mobile, AL for their kindness and exceptional care of Giles in his final days.
