Gina Geri Nichols of Lillian, Alabama, was born to Eugene and Agnes Geri on November 18, 1965 in Pensacola, FL. Gina passed away peacefully at her home on June 20th, 2026. She was 60 years old.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes (Annie) Geri and husband Arthur (Butch) Nichols.

Gina is survived by her father, Eugene (Gene) Geri; her 2 children, her son Eric and her daughter Genevieve Mantell and son in law BJ Mantell, and her three beloved grandchildren Marie, William, and Olivia Mantell. She is also survived by her 5 brothers, Ron, Greg, Mark, Kevin and Steve Geri, her many nieces and nephews and their children.

Gina was born and raised Roman Catholic which was reflected in her life and her endless journey to uphold and encourage her faith. She graduated from Pensacola Catholic High School and obtained her Cosmetology Degree from Pensacola Junior College.

Throughout her life Gina was active in the church. Over the years she taught religious education, participated in and at one point ran the Family Life Program, and participated in many woman’s groups and other church groups. She also actively and enthusiastically supported her children in their many and varied extra-curricular activities throughout their childhood. All this while working and supporting her family, including her time as the office manager at St. Michael’s Catholic School.

Gina’s main joy was being with family and friends. She enjoyed fishing with her brothers, dinner with friends, all the family get-togethers and most importantly the Geri family fish-fries. She loved spending time with her family, including going to the range with her son, sleepovers with her grandkids, pedicures with the girls, and having fun with her nieces and nephews. She had a special place in her heart for her grandkids and always looked forward to and valued the time she spent with them.

Gina was a devoted caregiver, raising her two children, and doting on her grandchildren. She was especially close to her mother and spent the last years of her life caring for her parents. After Annie passed away, she continued caring for her father.

Gina left us too soon and will be long remembered and deeply missed by those who were blessed enough to have her in their lives.
