Hamilton LaRue Platt

Hamilton LaRue Platt departed this life on September 21, 2022. A native of Mobile, he grew up in Daphne, AL. He graduated with the first graduating class at Spanish Fort High School in 2008 and attended Southern Union Community College. Growing up he loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, golfing, racing off road dirt bikes, and messing about with anything that had a motor. He had an inquisitive mind and boundless energy. His big smile and quick wit made him someone others were naturally drawn to. Most of all, he had a huge heart and was always willing to help anyone who needed his help. These were all traits he carried with him into adulthood. He married Kelsie Keegan, the love of his life, in 2012. Together they have two children, Tessa LaRue Platt, 7, and Ryan Hamilton Platt, 5. Hamilton was predeceased by his grandparents, Aldon L. Smith Sr and Sybil B. Smith, Andrew N. Platt Sr. and Elizabeth T. Platt, and uncles Aldon L. Smith, Jr., and Andrew N. Platt Jr. He is survived by his wife, Kelsie B. Platt, and children Tessa and Ryan Platt, his mother Lori Seale (Mark) of Daphne, his father, Rod Platt (Kathy) of Montrose, sisters Sybil Platt McGhee (Dothan), Stacey D. Platt (Longview, TX), Amanda Leigh Platt (Denton, TX), and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will be receiving friends and family at Wolfe Bayview funeral home in Daphne, AL. Visitation on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 4:00pm-6:00pm.
