Harvey Leon Ikner

September 16, 1956 – October 25, 2026

Harvey Leon Ikner, a native of Monroeville, Alabama, and a longtime resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the age of 70.

Harvey devoted his career to the health care industry, working at South Alabama and UAB Medicine. His 27 years of service to the health system included notable leadership roles as Associate Administrator for Ambulatory Services for USA Health Services and Executive Administrator of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Above all, his true passion was his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and companion whose memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Ann Stephenson Ikner; his parents, Ira Daniel Ikner and Ernestine Brown Ikner; and his sister, Steen Wilson.

Harvey is survived by his son, Nicholas Ikner (Erin) of Spanish Fort; his daughter, Emily Ikner Reece (Austin) of Auburn; and his six beloved grandchildren, Keagan, Blakeley, and Simmons Ikner, and William, Eli, and Abigail Reece. He is also survived by his loving companion, Vivian (Lee) Riley; his brothers, Robert Daniel Ikner and Roy LaDon Ikner (Kathy); his sister, Robin Lee (Kenny); and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 30, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope, Alabama. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
