Herbert Hoover Garland, age 95, went home to be with the Lord on December 8, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Birdie Garland, his son Phillip, his wife Mary, and many other relatives and friends.
He is survived by his children: Linda, Rita, Kathy, David, Michael, Tim, Steve, Renee, Julie, and many grandchildren.
Herbert was a devoted, loving, and generous husband, father and Pawaw. He accomplished many things during his long life that included: U.S. Navy chief, veteran, food service manager, chef, nutrition counselor, gardener, and musician. He lived a Christian life and was a great example of Christ's fatherly love and will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery, Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 2:30pm.
