Herbert Vaughn Underwood

Herbert Vaughn Underwood, age 92, a resident of Foley, Alabama, passed away May 20th, 2023.

Herbert was born August 21st, 1930, in Summerdale, Alabama. He attended Foley High School and graduated in 1949. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and worked at Monsanto for 29 years.

Herbert was preceded in death by parents, Louis Vaughn Underwood and Wilma Lee Underwood. 

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marcline Ard Underwood; Sons, Gary (Billie Jo) Underwood and Stephen Louis (Amanda) Underwood; brother, William D. (Hilda) Underwood; grandchildren, Brooke Watford; nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home Chapel, Foley.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment will be held at 1:30 PM at the Alabama Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort.
