JOHNSTON ELBERTA, ALABAMA Homer Clarence Johnston, Jr., age 81, a native of Georgia and a resident of Elberta, AL, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020. Homer was a U.S. Army Veteran and an avid Georgia Bull Dogs Fan. He was preceded in death by son; Michael Edmonson, daughter; Deborah Sue Fox, brothers; Edward Johnston and Richard Fortner. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Nancy Johnston, daughters; Cathy Sue (Mike) Pophan of Dallas, GA, Kathryn Sorgenson (Dana) of Jacksonville, FL., Cynthia Johnston of Marietta, GA, Wendy (Ronald) Rich of Smyrna, GA, sisters; Linda (Clinton) Whittington of Elberta, AL., Shirley (Johnny) Bruce of Dallas, GA., Wylene Buchanan of Dahlonga, GA., one brother; Hugh(Rachael) Johnston of Lillian, AL.; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends.
