Jack Daniel Howard Strube

April 12, 1937 — October 13, 2023

Mr. Jack Strube, 86, passed On Friday, October 13, 2023, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola Florida. He was the husband of Carmen Strube. They shared 45 years together. Born in the town of Kannapolis in North Carolina, he was the son of Jack Sr and Dolly Strube nee Johnson. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force having served 4 years in the 1950s. He was a butcher by trade, but we can say that he was a Jack of all trades. He went from being a self-employed painter to being a butcher for Disney but the job he loved the most was his time on a dude ranch in Utah, there he not only got to be their butcher and cook, but he also got to be a real cowboy and go on roundups. He enjoyed many hobbies like drawing, horseback riding and playing his guitar, but none as much as fishing. He was an expert worm wrangler, a talent that is lost today. He will be remembered for his sharp wit, his words of wisdom, and his endearing smile. He is survived by his wife, Carmen Strube; daughters, Debbie Wyatt, Lisa Franklin and Ray, stepdaughters, Marie Byhardt and Allan, Lilly Tuggle and Bob, Diana Boggan and Charles Bennette, Brandy Crawford and Johnnie, Amber Pezdirtz and Josef, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Sr, and Dolly Strube, his son Greg Strube, stepdaughter Isabel Bericochea and Son in law Gary Wyatt. Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your favorite Veteran organization.
