James “Jim” Richard Eastburn, III, age 65, a native of Pensacola, Florida, and a resident of Fairhope, Alabama went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 22, 2026.

Jim moved to Mobile from Nicaragua in 1978 and graduated from Davidson High School with the Class of 1979. In 1987, he married the love of his life, Ann Britton Eastburn, and together they built a life centered on family and the simple joys of time spent together. Following a long career with Ineos Phenol, Jim enjoyed retirement doing what he loved most, being outdoors. Whether he was on the water boating, casting a line while fishing, or spending time hunting, he found peace in God’s creation. A devoted Alabama football fan, Jim never missed an opportunity to cheer on the Crimson Tide. More than anything, he will be remembered for his generous heart and kind spirit. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel like an old friend. Always willing to lend a helping hand or share a laugh, Jim touched countless lives through his genuine kindness and selfless nature. He also had a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs, Sam, Buddy, and Red, who brought him years of faithful companionship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. Eastburn, Jr. and Mary Ann Smith Eastburn; his sister, Cindy Nobles; his uncle, Early Eastburn; and his step-son, Tommy Barron.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Britton Eastburn; his sisters, Lee Dobbs and Mary Pait; his aunts, Aggie Matherson and Mary Kay Eastburn; his cousin, Lauren Mento; his step-children, Jack Wilson Barron III and Laura Gray Barron; his grandchildren, Madeline Barron Priestley and Fischer Scott Priestley, Jack Wilson Barron IV and Mary Case Barron, James Gray Barron, and Kelli Elizabeth Barron; and his great-grandchildren, Lola Ann Barron and Willow Rose Barron Hale.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon at 12:00 p.m., all at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 370 S. Section Street, Fairhope, AL 36532.
