James "Jimmy" Emil Antinarella passed away December 12, 2025, age 69, after a courageous battle with his illness. A life-long resident of Fairhope, he was born at the Jordan Clinic on Section Street predating Thomas Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Michele A. Antinarella (nee Allen), sisters Auline (Tod) Gail and Diane Gravat, brother Michael (Mellessi) Antinarella, uncle and aunt Wendell and Charlotte Barnhill, Mother-in-law Jimmie M. Allen, brother-in-law Geary (Sandra) Allen, sister-in-law Alyssa (Doug) Harbison and several nieces, nephew and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Michael J. and Joyce D. Antinarella, Father-in-law Arthur "Hop" Allen and Brother-in-law Chuck Gravat.
He was a 1974 graduate of Fairhope High School and attended the University of South Alabama. During his 47-year career he worked for Coca-Cola, Overnight Transportation and UPS. A voracious reader he devoured books, magazines and online articles. He had a memorable personality, full of life and laughter; known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. He possessed a willingness to give of himself to those he loved; loving, caring and devoted to family. He was a long-time avid fan of Alabama Crimson Tide Football and Atlanta Braves baseball. He will be tremendously missed but not forgotten by everyone he met.
A private family graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
