James Logan Wilmeth

James Logan Wilmeth, age 89, born in Cypress, TN and a resident of Perdido Beach, AL, passed away March 15, 2023. James was retired after serving 25 years of service in the U.S. Air Force and volunteered with the local fire department in Perdido Beach, AL. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Rufus and Billy, and a sister, Ruth. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Theresa M. Wilmeth of Perdido Beach, AL, 3 sons, James (Emelie) Wilmeth of Elberta, AL, Barry (Merlie) Wilmeth of Kapolei, HI, Bruce Wilmeth of Jefferson City, MO; daughters Sharon (James) Byrnes of Atlanta, GA, Toni (Mike) Epperly of Simpsonville, SC; 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; nephews and many other loving relatives and friends. Memorial Mass will be held at St Joseph Catholic Church in Lillian, AL on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
