Jean Shockley

Jean “Jeannie” Shockley, age 81, of Lillian, AL passed away, Sunday, May 14th, 2023. Jeannie was a longtime resident of Lillian, AL, and a former resident of Maryville, IL. She worked for many years as a real estate agent and later as a Sears sales associate. Jeannie was a devout Christian and a member of St. John’s Evangelist Church in Pensacola, FL, and the Red Hatters Society. Jeannie is preceded in death by her parents, John George Schwertmann and Rose Doneff Schwertmann. Jeannie is survived by her husband, Harold E. Shockley, of Lillian, AL; daughters, Barbara (Tom) Mindak of High Ridge, MO, and Laura (Matthew) Donaldson of Godfrey, IL; stepdaughters, Vicky Knott of Lillian, AL, Carolyn Mitchell of Waterloo, IL, Dawn Onanian of Cedar Hill, MO, and Lorie Cotton of Affton, MO; sisters, Susan (Joe) Burmeister of Granite City, IL, and Marilyn (Robert "Skip") Humphreys of Bloomington, IL; 15 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
