Jemilia Maxine Rotch

Jemilia Maxine Rotch, age 92, passed away on March 23, 2026 at her residence in Fairhope.  

She was preceded in death by the love of her life her husband Thomson “Sambo” Rotch, her parents Lonnie C. Jordan and Hettie Jordan Hendrix and siblings Lonnie “Dickie” Jordan, Samuel “Buster” Hendrix, Olen Hendrix, Juanita Hendrix Averette, and Peggy Hendrix. 

She is survived by her daughter Robin Weaver (Johnny Weaver), her son Barry Rotch (Patti Rotch), grandchildren Bo Stewart (Farrell Lease), Michael Rotch  (Rachel Rotch), Jacqie  Rotch Kher (Nigel Kher), Morgan Rotch  Pittman (Andrew Pittman), great grandson Russell Stewart and many nieces, nephews and cousins she loved dearly. 

Maxine taught many years at Vigor and Murphy High Schools and made a lasting difference in many lives. 

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Saint Joseph Hospice for the care, compassion and support they provided to their loved one and to them.

A celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
