Jennifer McClain Norris

Jennifer McClain Norris passed away in the early hours of August 1, 2026, at the age of 57. Jennifer had been hospitalized in Nashville for an acute cardiovascular event. Her husband and best friend, William (Bill) Norris, was with her at her time of passing.

Jennifer McClain was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she was a proud member of the Chi Omega sorority. Although Jennifer moved to Fairhope, Alabama in 2007, she always made the time—and the drive—back to Knoxville, Nashville, the beach, or the mountains to visit her family and friends. No drive was too long for Jennifer, and no amount of time too brief to justify the miles. Jennifer quite literally went out of her way to be there for family and friends; her love and commitment will be her greatest legacy.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Bill Norris; her daughters, Afan Cornelison (Aaron) and Gabby Swan; her stepchildren, Beth Blankenship (Ryan), Thomas Norris (Ashley), Frank Norris (Alyssa), John Norris; her mother, Jean Rapp; her sister, Callie Pfeifer (Andy); her nieces, Lucy Pfeifer and Macy Pfeifer; and her grandchildren, Harrison Norris, Barrett Norris, and Max Blankenship; and countless dogs who worshipped the ground she walked on, most importantly her own dog, LunaMac.

The family hosted a Celebration of Life for Jennifer this past weekend. Friends and family gathered to celebrate 57 amazing years with a selfless, kindhearted, strong and joyous woman who was proud of the life she and Bill created for themselves and their family.
