Jennifer Jessie Claire Theeck

Jennifer Jessie-Claire Theeck, aged 52, of Spanish Fort, passed away of natural causes on October 30, 2026.

Jennifer was the daughter of Marilynn and Michael Theeck, born in Michigan. Having moved around the country due to being a military child, she chose to remain in the south where snow was not a concern. She graduated from Auburn University with a bachelors in Fine arts and a Masters in Art Education. Jennifer then began a 26+ year career devoted to education by serving as Curator of Education at several museums and locations including the Museum of Mobile, Fort Morgan, the History Museum of Mobile (where she also served as Interim Director for a time), and the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf. It’s safe to say that thousands of children and guests were positively impacted by her life’s work. Jennifer had a deep love of art, astronomy, medieval arms training (yes, you read that correctly), Disney World, her dog Boomer, recently tabletop D&D, and was teaching herself piano. Jennifer was a loving and incredible mother to her son Duncan, who meant the world to her.

She is survived by her son Duncan Fondren, former husband Gary Fondren, step-daughter Kari Fondren; her parents Marilynn and Michael Theeck; her brother Michael Theeck, Jr., and loving uncles, aunts, and cousins.

A two hour visitation for friends and family to celebrate Jennifer’s life will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, November 6, 2026 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope, AL.  A gravesite service for family will follow.
