Jessica Nicole Acosta, born on June 6, 1985, in Libertyville, IL, departed this life on January 10, 2026, in Gulf Shores, AL. Her passing has created a profound void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jessica was more than a friend; she was a vibrant spirit whose laughter could brighten the darkest days.

A devoted mother, her daughter Lexi was the center of her world, and their time spent together was filled with joy and love. Jessica's life was characterized by her playful nature and an infectious sense of humor that left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Those who visited Gulf Shores often came back specifically in search of Jessica, drawn to her welcoming smile and the warmth she extended to newcomers.

Music and dance were not merely hobbies for Jessica; they were essential parts of her being. Rarely would she be seen without her microphone, singing and dancing with unparalleled enthusiasm. Her love for the Lord was profound; she embraced her faith wholeheartedly, trusting in Him through life's trials and challenges.

Jessica's journey took her to Gulf Shores nine years ago, where she built a community of friends who became as close as family. Her ability to connect with others and her genuine kindness filled the lives of many, creating bonds that will endure despite her absence.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved daughter, Alexis N Pergament, and her parents, Charlene Reese and Roy Joseph Reese Jr. She is also survived by her brothers, Max and Zachary Acosta, her cousin Gregory Cantú, who was raised like a brother to her, and her cherished grandmother, Maria Cantú, affectionately known as Buela. Jessica’s family circle further expands to include many aunts, uncles, cousins, and several hundred friends, all of whom have been touched by her enduring spirit.

Jessica is preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Guadalupe Cantú, affectionately known as Grumpy, and her soulmate, Brandon Stepp. Their memories continue to be held dear by those she left behind.

As we reflect on Jessica's life, we celebrate the joy she shared and the enduring love she exuded. She will be remembered for her fun-loving nature and the wonderful experiences she brought to those around her. Jessica is now at peace, embraced in the arms of Jesus—a reunion awaited and cherished by many.
