John Morton Cherkofsky

John M. Cherkofsky, age 86 passed away on May 28, 2025, after a long illness.

He was a resident of Fairhope, Alabama and previously a resident of Falmouth, Massachusetts. In Fairhope, John was a docent at the Fairhope Museum of History. He was an avid photographer and a camera and technology salesperson. He also ran a home film developing studio, Print Reprint, in Falmouth, Massachusetts.

John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen L. Cherkofsky, daughters Susan Samry (Alan Samry), Pamela Cherkofsky, Paila Cherkofsky, brother Saul Cherkofsky (Marge Cherkofsky) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding his death are his father, Morris Cherkofsky and mother, Naomi Cherkofsky.

A service with miliary honors will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 10:00 at the Alabama State Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama for family and friends.

To honor John’s memory, donations in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (ALZ.org).
