John William Kriz

John William Kriz of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on July 5, 2024. He was 92 years old. 

John was born on February 28, 1932, in Vienna, Austria, where he trained in leather work. He married his wife Anna "Nita" Kriz in 1952. They were married for 63 years until her death in 2016. He spent 30 years as a leather craftsman at Trafalgar Ltd. in Norwalk, Connecticut.

John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna Kriz, grandson Craig Brito, and great-granddaughter Ava Hodgin. He leaves behind a loving family including his daughters, Sylvia (David) Sylvester and Susan (Javier) Brito; grandchildren Gregory (Kristen) and Jason (Alyssa) Sylvester; Jonathan (Amanda), Ricardo (Amanda), Jordan, Nicholas (Meagan) Brito, and Anna (Charles) Hodgin; as well as great-grandchildren Dominic, Liliana, Vincent, Cameron, and Nora Sylvester; Felix Brito; and Elise, Lucas, and Levi Hodgin. 

The family will gather to honor and remember John's life at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, AL. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at 10:30 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. John's life and legacy will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
