John Cecil Moran, affectionately known as "Johnny," passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, in Foley, Alabama, at the age of 79. Born on October 22, 1946, in Athens, Alabama, Johnny lived a life that was rich in service, passion, and love.

A proud veteran, Johnny dedicated  40  plus years active and civil service to the United States Air Force. He began his military journey as an enlisted member before being commissioned as an officer, embodying the values of leadership and commitment that defined his tenure. His legacy as a retired Lieutenant Colonel is one that will be remembered and honored by all who knew him.

Education was a priority for John and he earned a Master’s degree in business from Troy State University, which paved the way for numerous opportunities throughout his career.

John was not only devoted to his profession but also cherished his personal joys. He was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, demonstrating his unwavering support .Music played a significant role in John’s  life; he enjoyed playing guitar and lending his voice to various songs, often found sharing his musical talents with friends and family. His joyful spirit shone brilliantly in gatherings where he entertained those around him.

In addition to his hobbies, Johnny was a dedicated member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, where he connected with a community that reflected his values and beliefs.

John  will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Belinda Moran; his daughter, Jan Bromley; and his cherished grandchildren, Barry and Brian Bienvenu, Majan Bromley, Cade Bromley, and Amberleigh Bromley and his great granddaughter Liliana.  His legacy also carries a poignant note with the memory of his son, John C. Moran Jr., who predeceased him.

As we remember Johnny, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with achievements, love for family, and a passion for music and sports. His warmth and laughter will resonate in the hearts of those he touched, making him a lasting part of their lives.
