In Loving Memory of Dr. John Pisarkiewicz, Jr,

With heavy hearts, we share that John Pisarkiewicz, Jr., passed away on January 25, 2026.

John was a devoted husband, brother, and friend, and a man of deep faith, intellect, faith, and generosity. Over a distinguished career spanning more than five decades, he served as a respected economist, educator, and public servant, while also giving his time generously through pro bono and community work. He was known not only for his sharp mind, but for his curiosity, and love of thoughtful conversation. John found great joy in faith, music, cycling, cooking, wine, and bringing people together. He loved learning, especially reading and reflecting on theology in recent years, and he lived his life with humility, purpose, and kindness. 

Funeral and memorial services are scheduled for February 9, 2026, at St. James Episcopal Church in Fairhope, Alabama.
