Joseph Wayne "Frank" Gossett

Joseph Wayne Gossett passed away on February 5, 2025. Joe, or "Frank" as he was known, was born on October 20, 1947, to Holbrook and Maudine Gossett in Mobile, Alabama.  He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Donald and Randy Gossett.

Joe graduated from Vigor High School and entered the U. S. Army, where he served more than 10 years.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served as a combat medic.  After leaving the Army, he worked in the construction industry, where he made numerous friends.

Joe was a man of many words and truly a man of his word, who never met a stranger.  He was an avid golfer and loved all of his golfing partners. Joe also thoroughly enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino.

Joe is survived by his sons, Jeffery (Pam) Gossett and Christopher (Kelly) Gossett, his loving grandchildren Ashton, Ryan, Lauren, and four precious great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Patricia Weatherby, Richard Gossett, and David Gossett, as well as his nieces, nephews, and many good friends.

He was a loving, unselfish, and truly loyal friend who will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Saturday, April 5th, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at the VFW Post 7320, 244 Old Telegraph Road, Saraland, AL 36571.
