Joy Lanelle Linville Cassebaum

Joy Cassebaum, age 88, a resident of Elberta, AL, passed away Friday, March 7,2025.

Joy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was born in Amarillo TX, and a lifelong resident of Elberta, AL. Joy was a member of St Mark’s Lutheran Church of Elberta. She volunteered in numerous capacities in all her adult life.

Preceding her in death is her husband, Frank Cassebaum; son, Daniel Steve Cassebaum, parents, George and Aletha Linville; sisters, Jean Weems, Judy Byrum and Janice Robertson; brother, George Linville, Jr.

She is survived by; two daughters, Kelly (Pat) Rohe of Elberta, AL. and Lisa (John) Harris of Mobile, AL; four grandchildren, Jason (Marcia) Rohe, Megan (Shea) Lutkins, Zachary Harris and Amelia Harris; great grandchildren, Levi Rohe, Emily Rohe, Aubrey Lutkins, and Great Grand Baby Number 4 due in August; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Elberta, AL, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 11:00 am, with the visitation from 10:30-11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Saint Marks Cemetery in Elberta, AL. following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to: The Dementia Society of America www.dementiasociety.org  also St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
