Joyce Maurice Denmark DeMouy

Joyce Maurice Denmark DeMouy, a resident of Daphne, Alabama passed away Sunday morning November 1st, 2026 while in The Retreat Hospice Saads facility in Mobile, Alabama.   

Joyce was born on August 2, 1925.  In her 101 years of life she was quite an accomplished woman for her time. She graduated from Murphy High School and went on to The University of Alabama. She held administrative secretarial positions with the railroad early in her career.  She married Marshall DeMouy, a military career gentleman.  The couple traveled while in the service to several locations.  Joyce often said that was some of the best times of her life.  The couple never had children, but Joyce poured her love into her precious pets.  She never traveled anywhere the dogs couldn't go.  Joyce was a bright and able woman up until the end of her life.  She could debate politics or any other newsworthy current event.  She was a good friend, neighbor, aunt and patriotic American.  

She is survived by a host of nephews and nieces. She was a one in a million individual with a superior personality.  She will be greatly missed by those that shared her life.
