Judy Cobb Kinard, age 80, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025.

She was born on July 28, 1945, in Memphis, TN, to Herman Rueben Cobb and Yvonne Mae “June” Chatham.

Judy graduated from Memphis Central “The High School” in 1964 and attended Ole Miss where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She was a devoted student and graduated in 1966. She received many social and academic accolades for her dedication.

Judy married John M. Kinard, Sr. on August 27th, 1967, and together they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

Judy is survived by husband John M. Kinard, Sr; sons John M. Kinard, Jr. (Jan) and Kirk Lawrence Kinard (Ashley); daughter Mary Kate Thompson (Jim); grandchildren John “Major” Kinard, III, Ashton Grace Abshire (Jacob), Nicholas Parker Barnes, Brooks Henry Merrill, June Sellers Kinard, Georgia Manning Kinard and sister Cindy Cobb White (Mark). She was preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Connie Cobb Arnett (Bruce}. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and her deep, abiding love for her friends and family.

A funeral service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Pascagoula, MS, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 3:00 PM. Following the service, all are invited to a celebration of life gathering at Scranton’s Restaurant from 4:00-6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests an in-kind donation to St. John’s Episcopal Church in loving memory of Judy and her late mother, June, whose ashes are also spread in the Memory Garden at St. John’s.
