Katherine Bell Bethea

Katherine Marie Bethea, age 81, a resident of Spanish Fort, AL passed away April 23, 2026.

Katherine was a lifelong citizen of Spanish Fort Alabama she was dedicated to her community in many areas: The Baldwin County Sheriffs Posse, Spanish Fort Ambulance service, and many areas in sports and schools. She was a bus driver for the Baldwin County School System for many years chances are if you road a bus to school in Spanish Fort you road with her at some point. She was a talented Artist and a prominent commercial artist for many department stores in her early days. She was a critical part of the music ministry of First Baptist church and enjoyed working with many musicians over the years. Her presence will forever be felt and greatly missed in our lives.

Preceding her in death by: Tillman Bethea Husband, Renee Avritt daughter, David Bethea grandson, Darrell Perry grandson

She is survived by her children; John Bethea of Mobile, Vicki (Shane) Perry of Spanish Fort, William (Teri)Bethea of Mobile; grandchildren: Jonathan Cook, Amanda Halford, Brittany Moody, Samantha Goss, Will Cook, Josh Bethea, Katlyn Perry, Jesse Perry, LukeBen Perry, 20 great grandchildren many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at. First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort, Monday May 4, 2026 at 2:00 pm The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A private interment will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens, Daphne, AL
