Kenneth Raymond Frost, Jr., age 92, a resident of Perdido Beach, Alabama, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025. Ken was born in Sacramento, California, on November 19, 1932.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 50 years, Mona Bailey Frost; parents, Ken and Virginia Frost; sister, Marcia Cooper; son-in-law, Ronnie Farmer; grandsons, Joshua Frost and Gregory Scott Dunkin. He is survived by his children, Debbie Frost (Kevin Fredregill), Bruce Frost (Pat), Scott Frost (Gina), Sylvia Frost and Barry Frost (Tonya); brother, Alan Frost (Jannette); 1 niece; 2 nephews; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Along with many other loving relatives and friends.
Ken was a devoted husband to his wife Mona for fifty years and a loving father. He was constantly on the go and his children often teased him that he’d outlive all of them. He honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps and received his Master’s degree at the University of Arizona in agronomy. After working for the University of South Dakota for several years, he began his career with Monsanto. Ken’s field work in Iowa, Louisiana, Brazil and Alabama was instrumental in the development of products assisting farmers. He retired from Monsanto in 1995 as the manager of the Research Farm in Loxley, AL. He was a devoted Alabama fan – Roll Tide; and rarely missed a game.
He was a member of the South Alabama Antique Tractor and Engine Club where he served as Secretary. You would see him at festivals throughout lower Alabama selling raffle tickets for the club’s charity work. Ken loved working in his shop restoring old tractors with fellow members. He loved to travel and you’d often find him on the road with his family. He was an avid sailor, even building two sailboats. Ken was continuously working on genealogy for his family. He had traced his roots back to Charlemagne who died in 814. Ken even wrote his own autobiography sharing wonderful stories about his life with family and friends. A man whose family was the cornerstone of his life, Ken leaves them with a legacy of integrity and love. He will be deeply and forever missed!
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 2:30pm at Wolfe Bayview Funeral Homes in Foley, AL.
