Kenneth Lee

d. April 6, 2022

Kenneth (Kenny) Lee, age 90, passed away in his home in Loxley, AL, on April 6, 2022. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his mother, Claudia Lee, son, Bubba Lee, longtime companion Judy Paul, and former wife Helen (Skeeter) Peters. He is survived by his daughter Debbie (Doug) Knapp, daughter-in-law Rise' (Lazzari) Lee, and honorary family Ron Davis and Tammy Crosby. Owner of Ben's on the causeway from the mid 1960's to 1979, as well as the Riverboat, employees saw him as a stern man to work for, and a few (Rise' included) might have been a little afraid of him. But he would always help when you needed it, and even had a softer spot once you knew how to find it. Mr. Lee, a Korean War Veteran, may have been known for his gruff exterior, but family knew him as a man who loved to chase the kids through the woods on a Cushman, who helped build Civitan Park, and who sponsored the Mighty Ben’s softball team. He was a member of the Mystic’s of Time and was the Father of Time 1976. Mr. Lee loved being outside, whether tending to his yard or sitting on the porch talking to friends. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 11, 2022, at 11:00am at the Alabama State Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Hwy 225 Spanish Fort Al.
