Kristi Segars

Kristi Segars, a dedicated elementary school teacher and cherished member of her family, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, at The Retreat at SAAD Hospice in Mobile, Alabama. Born on August 18, 1970, Kristi devoted 27 years to molding young minds as an educator, demonstrating unwavering passion and commitment to her profession.

Kristi a proud alumna of Auburn University where she obtained Bachelor's degree in education, complemented by a Master's degree from the University of South Alabama. Her educational achievements underscored her dedication to learning and teaching, which she imparted to students with great zeal.

In her personal life, Kristi was a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Segars, and their daughter, Marilee Segars, who will forever cherish the memories of their time spent together. Additionally, Kristi was a stepmother to Timothy Segars, Stephanie Calhoun and grandmother to their children. Kristi shared a deep bond with her family, exemplified by her lasting love for her father, the late William Estes. She is mourned by her mother, Faye Estes, and her cousin Eric Sandlin and his wife Leigh, who remember her fondly.

Throughout her life, Kristi faced numerous health challenges with courage and resilience. Her strength in navigating these difficult experiences was an inspiration to those around her.

Kristi’s legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched, both in her role as an educator and as a devoted family member. She leaves behind a profound impact that will be remembered by family, friends, and students alike.

Visitation to celebrate Kristi's life will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Fairhope, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 10:00am; interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
