Laura Grimes Mossman, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on June 26, 1962, Laura lived a life marked by creativity, compassion, and a spirit that lifted those around her.

Laura was married to the love of her life, Jeff Mossman, with whom she shared twenty beautiful years. Their bond was one of deep devotion, laughter, and unwavering partnership.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Grimes; her mother, Ruth Grimes; and her sister, Terry Grimes. She leaves behind her cherished husband Jeff; her sister, Ann Kinney; her brother, John Grimes II; and a host of nieces and nephews who adored her and were endlessly inspired by her warmth and wit.

Throughout most of her professional life, Laura worked as an HR specialist, where her empathy and sharp insight made her a trusted guide to many. In time, she discovered her true passion—art. Creating became her joy, her calling, and her way of bringing beauty into the world. She continued making art up until the very day she entered the hospital for an unexpected and undiagnosed health issue that ultimately took her from us far too soon.

We may never understand why she had to leave us, but we trust that God had a different plan for her. What we do know is that her sense of humor, her quick wit, and her generous heart will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Laura’s legacy lives on in the love she gave, the laughter she sparked, and the art she created—each piece a reflection of her vibrant soul.

Grave services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10:00am at Belforest Community Cemetery.
