Leo Lawrence Crain, also known as Buddy, passed away on January 19, 2024, in Daphne, Alabama, at the age of 96. He was born on May 13, 1927, in Bastrop, LA. Leo was a Navy WW II veteran, proudly serving his country. After his military service, he pursued a career as an Attorney. During his legal career he was appointed by Governor Patterson as a Special Assistant Attorney General and was an incorporator of The Legal Aid Society of Mobile.
 
 Leo was a brilliant businessman and known as the thriftiest man alive. He lived his life simply and unapologetically, not concerned with fancy appearances or keeping up with others. Leo adored his wife, Sandra, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. In his free time, he loved playing golf and cards, particularly poker and Tonk. 
 
 Leo is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Crain, his children Laura Goldbold, Alise and Geoffrey Lane, and Brad Crain. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Jennifer Godbold, Jeffrey Godbold, Michelle Goldbold Maranowski, Conner Lane, Camrynn Lane, Caroline Crain, and Bennett Crain. He was also blessed with three great grandchildren Addie, Matthew and Max. 
 Leo is also survived by his brother, B.J. Crain and his sister Patricia Crain 
 
 Leo attended Murphy High School and later pursued higher education at the University of Alabama. His educational background laid a solid foundation for his successful career as an Attorney at Law.
