Leslie Gaile Turnbull

Leslie G. Turnbull 1953-2025 Leslie Gaile Turnbull, age 71, a longtime resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama died Thursday, May 1, 2025, with her family by her bedside. Ms. Turnbull was an honors graduate of the University of South Alabama earning a B.S. degree in Biology/Chemistry and a Master of Business Administration degree. She worked as a professional medical laboratory technologist in several hospitals and agencies in Mobile, Pensacola and New Orleans before moving into positions in hospital administration. After earning her MBA, she worked in banking and in commercial and residential property management. Retirement years were spent with family, friends, her church, St. James Episcopal in Fairhope where she served as an usher, activities in the community, and – always her beloved pets. We remember Leslie as the smart, witty, beautiful and caring person who was a loyal and dedicated daughter, sister, aunt and

friend. The challenges of Parkinson’s Disease are not for the faint of heart; Leslie’s strong faith and determination helped see her through to the ultimate peace.

Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Wood Turnbull, Jr. and Dorothy Tipping Turnbull. She is survived by her brothers Henry W. (Linda) Turnbull, III of Huntsville and D. Keith Turnbull, M.D. (Shelley) of Fairhope; nieces and nephews Adam (Ashley) Turnbull of Huntsville, Brett (Dawn) Turnbull of Birmingham, Elizabeth (Chris) Cooper of Birmingham, Allison Franklin of Fairhope, Benjamin Turnbull of Huntsville, and longtime grade school friend, Catherine King of Fairhope Alabama, nine grandnieces and grandnephews, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
