It is with great love and sadness that the family of Lori Kaye Brabston announces her passing. Lori passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Although a native of Mobile, AL, she also spent happy years in Camden, Arkansas and Panama City, Florida.
She cherished the lifelong friendships she made there and the memories that followed her throughout her life. The love and community she found in Mobile, Panama City and Camden shaped her into the warm, caring, and genuine person so many were blessed to know.
Lori will be remembered for her kind heart, strength, and unwavering love for those around her. She faced every challenge in life with grace and determination, and her warmth and compassion touched everyone who knew her.
Lori had a deep love for sports. She loved cheering on her Auburn Tigers, Arkansas Razorbacks, and the Atlanta Braves. Whether it was Auburn football in the fall, Razorback baseball in the spring, or celebrating a Braves win in the summer, she found great joy in supporting her favorite teams and sharing that excitement with family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved son, Bryan Brabston; her devoted mother, Mary Brabston; and her loving sisters, Carla Forester and Lisa Fawcett. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews: Banks, Sara, Meghan, Cole, Reid, Will Anna, Thomas, and Caroline; as well as many first cousins and her dear uncles and their wives, whom she loved catching up with in Mississippi and beyond. Lori will also be deeply missed by her most loyal companion, her dog Sophie.
Lori had great love and respect for her faithful caregivers, whose compassion and dedication brought her comfort and peace. Most especially, she was blessed by the care and friendship of Vanessa Clopton, whose kindness will never be forgotten.
Lori was preceded in death by her father, Bill Brabston, and her brother, Tom Brabston and nephew Tyler Forester.
Her family will forever cherish her memory and the love she shared.
