Major "Ted" Edward Lewis, a resident of Summerdale, Alabama went to heaven Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the age of 81.
He was born on June 22, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Arnold and Edna Lewis. Ted was a State Farm Insurance agent, Owner of manufactured home business and Real Estate Agent. He attended Marion Military Institute and he also attended the University of Alabama. Since retirement he loved working on his land growing everything!
He is survived by his wife, Camellia Cooper Lewis of Summerdale, Alabama. Survivors include son Brian Lewis (Janet) of Aliceville, Alabama; daughter Alea Dragon of Freeport, Florida and daughter Haley Knapp (Hayes) of Fairhope, Alabama. Grandchildren Kirk Lewis, Josh Lewis (Taylor), Olivia Carl (Reynolds), Bella Dragon, Eula Dragon, Cecilia Knapp, Tate Knapp. Great grandchild Mary Ransom Lewis.
Memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, Aliceville, AL 2:00 pm, December 28, 2025. Visitation will follow the service.
