Beloved mother, Maralee Powderly, passed away peacefully at the home of her youngest daughter, Laura, June 13th, 2024.
Maralee was a Chicago native born to an immigrant father and a first generation mother on the southside of the city shortly after the end of the second world war. She had an enduring and noteworthy career at Loyola University of Chicago Medical Center that enabled her to put both of her children through undergraduate studies at a renowned university without having to incur burdening debt.
She is survived and missed by both her daughters, Monica Turner and Laura Hayek.
Maralee will be interred at St. Margaret of Catholic Parish in Foley, AL on August 14th at 8:00 AM.
